Just a few lines to update you on the recent Hockey Club AGM.
There was a very good attendance and the good news for everyone is that the treasurers report on the clubs finances means that once again there will be no increase in the subscription for the new season.
To encourage new members the first years subscription will be £50. So if you are looking at this website for the first time and looking for a great hockey and social club then give us a go!!
Sue Redshaw and Peter Atkinson were appointed as new Vice Presidents. Congratulations!
Other awards given on the night were;
Doughty Cup - Won by Mens 1st XI with a 69% success rate. 2nd- Ladies 2ndXI 65% 3rd - Vags - 61%.
Jack Aboe Golden Stick Award - Alastair Surycz with 30 goals. Top Lady - Kate McCleod - 16 goals.
Peter Chapman Most Improved Young Player -
Mens Section - Jon Sharp Ladies Section - Katie Sevenoaks
Sarah White Captain's Cup - Rob Tong, Mens 1st XI Captain
George Hewins Trophy for Club Person of the Year - Tim Tennent
Chairmans Cup for Endeavour - Claire Hugo.
Well done to all the winners, there is a trophy for each and they are being engraved at the moment.
