Epsom 7 Woking 0 : Surrey Cup

1

Epsom Goals by Harris, Midmer (2), Pizzey (2), M.Atkinson (2)

Epsom cruised to a 7-0 win over Woking in a night time Surrey Cup fixture at Reeds.

Epsom were hit by unavailability before the start and rejigged their line up, but they started well and had looked dangerous well before James Harris gave them lead with a fierce reverse stick shot.

Epsom continued to control much of the possession in the midfield, and some good link up play from Rob Tong, Paul Atkinson and Mike Atkinson down the right hand side allowed James Midmer and Alex Pizzey to add further goals before halftime.

The second half saw more of the same, as Epsom continued to retain possession for long spells of play, under the calming influence of Ali Murrell at centre back. Woking had some chances at the start of the half, but Mike Atkinson soon made it 4-0 with some neat skills in the area and a tidy finish.

With Woking now pouring forward, there was space for the Epsom front three to play, and some good link up play saw Mike Atkinson, Midmer and Pizzey all added further goals before the close.
