Well hello all again, seems by some strange collaboration I am again TFC and author of another report – oh how the pressure builds. Please can someone get it on the website – you’d think I would know how to do this by now wouldn’t you.
Not our finest hour, and not even our finest 70 minutes. Some great performances from Carlos and his darting runs (sidewards I may add), David who was rightly awarded Man of the Match (and for those who cannot spell Steve on the MOM votes it is s-t-e-v-e), Nick, Jack and Alex who were great in the middle and actually managed some great runs, and Andy in goal who despite the 2-0 score line, made some decent saves.
Guest appearance from Maj, and thanks to Mark for umpiring.
Well apart from that, not much to add, we lost...... hang on..... is that Jingle Bells I can hear ?
Dashing through the league
Well up to 9th today
Over the pitch we go
Laughing all the way
Were nearly half way there
With one more game to play
Carlos now returned
And a forward line to stay
Oh, jingle bells, kit bag smells
Hockey all the way
Oh what fun it is to play
For Epsom on a Sat-ur-day.
A day or two ago
I thought we might win today
Lets hope the oppo’s slow
Cos we are here to play
Alas it was not to be
Too many beers last night
Oh we should have had one less
As Reigate won the fight
Oh, jingle bells, kit bag smells
Hockey all the way
Oh what fun it is to play
For Epsom on a Sat-ur-day.
Well there you have it now
We lost for very good reason
Lets hope for more success
In the second half of the season
It’s off to Cheam on the 7th
We know we can win again
Lets not forget our 3:2 win
And do them just the same
Oh, jingle bells, kit bag smells
Hockey all the way
Oh what fun it is to play
For Epsom on a Sat-ur-day.
Hey – we lost but as always enjoyed it, looking forward to the second half and a Happy Christmas to all.
